Josh and Kir sten Keihl met in 2002 at Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship on the Oregon State University Campus. They graduated from OSU on June 18th, 2006 and were married the following day. Josh graduated with a BA in New Media Communications, and Kirsten with a BA in Liberal Studies (emphasis in design for the media) and a minor in Spanish.
Josh first heard the call to missions in 2003 at a Chi Alpha missions conference in Portland, Oregon where he stood up to give a year to world missions. It was there that he first heard about IMM and knew that’s where God was calling him. Kirsten also fel t a call on her life to serve the Lord, but didn't know exactly where until she knew that she was going to marry Josh.
Throughout the entire process, Josh and Kirsten have learned that patience is key when entering the mission field. “We figured out very quickly that God’s timing isn’t our timing and that His timing is perfect,” Josh said. “We’re very happy to be at IMM and we’re excited to see where God takes us next!”
